Accessibility and the Skills for Access site
We have tried to make sure that the Skills for Access web site is as accessible as possible to as many people as possible, regardless of browsing environment or disability. We've also documented some of the design decisions we took, including areas where we had to change our approach.
Accessibility Features
On this page, we list the features that we have added to enhance the site's accessibility, and provide information on how you can change the display of the site to suit your own needs.
How we built the site
We've also provided some background information on the development of the site, and we explain here some of the decisions we made. We hope this will be of use to web developers facing the challenge of creating an optimally accessible, media rich site that also meets expectations in terms of functionality and look-and-feel.
Using this Site
Making multimedia e-learning optimally accessible is not about ticking a checklist! All our advice encourages a thoughtful and analytic approach to addressing accessibility issues. Accessible e-learning is achieved by engagement, not by formula.
